Beauty People 365 Stay Waterproof Brush Pen Eye Liner

Image
BEAUTY PEOPLE 365 STAY WATERPROOF BRUSH PEN EYE LINER 03 Appeal Brown US $10.90 – 0.5g I can't remember how my eyeliner obsession started. All I know is last year I started off with 2 basic black liners, and now my collection has doubled multiple times. Somehow I still haven't mastered the art of symmetrical cat eyes #fwp My local K-Beauty shop was doing a -20% sale on Beauty People products. Funny thing was that I specifically tested a shimmery gel liner and loved the pigmentation, yet somehow walked away with their liquid liner instead. By the time I was home I wasn't bothered to go back for an exchange, so I settled with this product, in hopes it would perform well. CLAIMS? (from Yesstyle.com ) "Slim brush allows for drawing of fine lines throughout the entire day. Waterproof, oilproof prevents smudging and lasts for longer period of time Create a line from beginning to end along the lash line" EASE OF USE? The...

[Review] Lirikos Marine UV Water Cushion

Image
LIRIKOS MARINE UV WATER CUSHION SPF 50+ / PA+++ I'm always in the market for hydrating products. When I first discovered GMarket and its generous coupons for first time users, I decided to pick up the Lirikos Marine UV Water Cushion. The total including shipping, worked out to be ~$45AUD, making this one of the pricier cushions I had purchased (so far? XD) CLAIMS?   Provides deep, rich moisture instantly to skin Makes skin firm, healthy, and young Provides clear, glowing, radiant skin tone Realises various skin tones Provides 5 kinds of effects: UV protection, makeup, cooling, whitening and wrinkle improvement PACKAGING? Lirikos is another AmorePacific owned brand. Similar to the Sulwhasoo Perfection Cushion, the compact features a bulky dome shaped top that really doesn't help with tiny storage space. The minimal, white casing is accented by a sapphire blue ring, echoing the depths of the ocean. The pro...

[Review] Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion

Image
Disclaimer :  Last month Wishtrend held a competition to select 20 Beauty Testers for Klairs Mid-Day Blue Sun Lotion and I was selected as one of the testers. However this hasn't influenced my opinions of this product in any way. KLAIRS MID-DAY BLUE SUN LOTION SPF 40/PA++ CLAIMS (paraphrased from the   Klairs website ):  - Light, weightless finish without the oily feeling - Subtle glow following application - Formulated with guaiazulene to calm irritated skin and tone down redness PACKAGING? Normally I love the Klairs aesthetic but when I took the product out from the box I was disappointed. The tube seemed cheap and a bit crude, like something you'd get from Daiso.  Yep, I'm nitpicky  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ TEXTURE? Please note these tests were all performed on different days, and it's not because I felt the need to change my bed hair and clothes for every test. I was also testing different make up products, so you'll see p...

New Beginnings + Base Skincare Routine

Image
There's never quite a good time to start anew. Since the idea for the birth of this blog began doing laps in my head, I've been dreaming about how I'd be presenting it. Would it be written professionally, with a minimal theme and echo a vogue simplicity? Would it be dynamic, with tastefully shot photos and all out flatlays with flowers to match the characteristic of products reviewed? Originally I was going to wait until the trimester finished before I started this, but in the end, the beginning became now.  No grand aesthetic, no defined feel, yet. For now it's just me and some products, a world away from the stress, trying to regain that freeflowing feeling of being able to write and convey my thoughts and intentions. It's a coming to terms that I will never be a born natural, or immediately perfect in anything I do - and that's okay. So long as I start somewhere, and that I'm constantly moving forward or learning from when I fall backwar...
