[Review] GD Fantastic Shining Mask + BIGBANG10 Hand Cream

Image
Moonshot used to have an extensive skincare line but most of it has since been pulled from their website. Of what’s available, most are cleansing products and masks . I tried their Daily Pure Relax mask, but of course I lost the full review on it and I can't remember much other than it was overpriced for its results and had a large fit. At least the GD Fantastic Shining Mask was less of a letdown.   GD Fantastic Shining Mask Oh yas it comes with a photocard. I believe there's 2 designs and despite buying 3 packs of these, I've received the same photocard in each pack T_T Each box comes with 5 separate masks and has a unique QR code for verification purposes. The mask has 3 steps to it: a cleanser, mask and eye cream. Claims Dual functional 3-step mask pack with whitening and wrinkle improvement Absorbs sebum and eliminates your skin waste Brightens and improves your skin and wrinkles Energises your face and skin around your eyes Step 1 – Cleansing Foam ...

[Review] February Sheet Masks ft. Labiotte

Image
Labiotte is a sister brand to Tonymoly and sets itself apart as the older sibling whose tastes have progressed beyond cute animal products, and now has a more 'refined' palate for objects of elegance and greater complexity. Or according to their US website , botanical based functional cosmetics. Personally I didn't hear about them until reviews of their Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tints started appearing all over YT, and then they were mentioned in that EXO song . But how do their skincare products fare? I have mixed feelings about their masks, so read on to see which ones I recommend :) BLOOMING ESSENCE SERIES Phyto Ceramide Sheet Mask Claims to give vitality and supply moisture to dry skin with its combination of plant-derived ceramide and microfiber sheet. Contrary to the series name, the Blooming Essence Ceramide mask is an emulsion-type mask. The thin mask comes with single-sided netting to help with the unfolding. There's a surprising amount of ...

January Masks Round Up

Image
One of my 2017 resolutions is to blog twice a month and really up my communication skills. The first post of the year is a round up of some masks I've gone through, which I'll be doing regularly because I bought over a year's worth of masks and I don't intend on letting any of them go to waste. A ' P I E U chocolate milk mask The packaging is adorable but annoying. There's the outer milk carton packaging, and then an extra plastic bag within in, that the mask is kept in. Tearing along the perforated line separated the packets from each other and I'd be awkwardly fumbling around for the leftover essence. The smell was horrendous too - it's cheap and artificial and reminded me of a weird mixture of flavoured medicine coupled with overripe mango. But the fit was great - the sheet was thin and adhered well to the skin without any slippage for 40 minutes. My skin definitely looked better afterwards and was firmer from the moisture, but the smell w...

[Review] K-Beauty Sheet Mask Empties ft. Dear Packer + more

Image
D E A R   P A C K E R    C A M E L L I A   J E J U   F L O W E R Claims According to bbcosmetic.com it is 'for skin to have rich nutrients with tight skin'. Packaging Ingredients provided in English, but the claims weren't translated. I really like the packaging, the colours are very vivid. The mask appears speckled, like the seeds of a strawberry. Fit Not bad, I made some minor adjustments. The eye shape, is downward turned and leaves parts of the undereye area naked. It felt like a soft clooth draped over my face however the chin area often slipped off. Essence 23ml. Thin consistency, akin to a light lotion that sinks in very quickly. It dried down to a slightly tacky finish. Its sweet floral scent smells divine and it lingered for the most part of the masking session (40 minutes). Very little essence remained in the packet. Effects + repurchase Admittedly I was skeptical at first and it only shows how much I underestim...
