[Review] Lirikos Marine UV Water Cushion

LIRIKOS MARINE UV WATER CUSHION SPF 50+ / PA+++

I'm always in the market for hydrating products. When I first discovered GMarket and its generous coupons for first time users, I decided to pick up the Lirikos Marine UV Water Cushion. The total including shipping, worked out to be ~$45AUD, making this one of the pricier cushions I had purchased (so far? XD)

CLAIMS? 

Provides deep, rich moisture instantly to skin

Makes skin firm, healthy, and young

Provides clear, glowing, radiant skin tone

Realises various skin tones

Provides 5 kinds of effects: UV protection, makeup, cooling, whitening and wrinkle improvement

PACKAGING?

Lirikos is another AmorePacific owned brand. Similar to the Sulwhasoo Perfection Cushion, the compact features a bulky dome shaped top that really doesn't help with tiny storage space. The minimal, white casing is accented by a sapphire blue ring, echoing the depths of the ocean.

The product information is written in both Korean and English! Which is interesting because the website isn't translated at all, so I assumed Lirikos didn't cater to the foreign market.

 There's something so satisfying about removing the 'freshness seal' from a cushion. Must be the new product euphoria.

I purchased this in shade N02, the natural finish version, which is yellow-toned

COVERAGE + LONGEVITY?

This cushion provides a light-medium coverage. It has a pleasant cooling effect when applied and is hydrating enough to slightly cover dry patches, winning!

Immediately before and after application

Immediately after application you can see my skin is brightened and glowy. Eventually the glow does disappear and settles to a semi-matte finish. The formula adheres well to the skin without feeling overly sticky.

Urgh dry lips. What's your favourite product for taking care of chapped lips?

On one day I was running late and didn't have time to use a separate undereye concealer so I settled for the cushion. The coverage wasn't ideal, although I noticed it had creased far less than other cushions I’ve tried, and the singular layer that settled into a fine line was easily smoothed over.  

On a warm Spring day the cushion pretty much sets itself and has a slight powdery feel. By the 5-6 hour mark I found the coverage had become patchy around my cheeks, and definitely would have benefited from primer. When I tried to touch up these patches, the formula oxidised quickly and looked like I had forgotten to blend out my bronzer D:

FINAL VERDICT? 

I would gladly finish using the cushion and its refill during half day excursions from home. The Lirikos Marine UV Water cushion isn't one I would repuchase however, given reapplication wasn't ideal, and therefore not worth its price range.
