[Review] Son&Park's Beauty Water

Image
Claims? (taken from Sokoglam) Beauty Water is ideal: - As a toner before application of the rest of your skin care products - To remove remaining impurities after cleansing - As a way to freshen your face during the day First Impressions I'm always hesitant to try products that are highly raved about because it sets up ultra high expectations. I tackled the deluxe sample size bottle first, because using up a full product, large or small, always feels so damn good. The deluxe bottle contained 60ml and lasted  a little under 3 weeks. For the first two weeks I used it purely on the right side of my face by soaking a cotton pad and sweeping it across my face and neck. The sensation was always odd - it would leave my skin with a clean, fresh feeling, the feeling you get after sanitising your hands or using an alcohol swab.  I think I was so 'eh' about the product even after finishing the deluxe size because I expected some sort of extreme, magical tr...

January Masks Round Up

Image
One of my 2017 resolutions is to blog twice a month and really up my communication skills. The first post of the year is a round up of some masks I've gone through, which I'll be doing regularly because I bought over a year's worth of masks and I don't intend on letting any of them go to waste. A ' P I E U chocolate milk mask The packaging is adorable but annoying. There's the outer milk carton packaging, and then an extra plastic bag within in, that the mask is kept in. Tearing along the perforated line separated the packets from each other and I'd be awkwardly fumbling around for the leftover essence. The smell was horrendous too - it's cheap and artificial and reminded me of a weird mixture of flavoured medicine coupled with overripe mango. But the fit was great - the sheet was thin and adhered well to the skin without any slippage for 40 minutes. My skin definitely looked better afterwards and was firmer from the moisture, but the smell w...

[Review] Moonshot Perfect Cleansing Oil

I can't believe it's New Year's Eve already (in Australia at least) - how was your 2016? Mine revolved around  starting a new university course, then of course I tried my hand at beauty blogging in the latter quarter of the year. Going to Korea was definitely one of the highlights, especially being able to check out the Bigbang A to Z Exhibition before their massive hiatus. I would like to think I've built upon my leadership skills, but my lack of social skills have definitely stayed more or less the same haha.  While I'd like to continue trying the whole 'new year new me' mindset, the older I get the more stubborn I become (I'll still add 'staying flexible and adaptable' to my 2017 resolutions tho). 'New year new skin' isn't a thing; fortunately my daily skincare routine is a process I really enjoy. As makeup played an increasingly greater part in my life this year, so has cleansing and ensuring my skin is healthy and clean befor...

[Review] K-Beauty Sheet Mask Empties ft. Dear Packer + more

Image
D E A R   P A C K E R    C A M E L L I A   J E J U   F L O W E R Claims According to bbcosmetic.com it is 'for skin to have rich nutrients with tight skin'. Packaging Ingredients provided in English, but the claims weren't translated. I really like the packaging, the colours are very vivid. The mask appears speckled, like the seeds of a strawberry. Fit Not bad, I made some minor adjustments. The eye shape, is downward turned and leaves parts of the undereye area naked. It felt like a soft clooth draped over my face however the chin area often slipped off. Essence 23ml. Thin consistency, akin to a light lotion that sinks in very quickly. It dried down to a slightly tacky finish. Its sweet floral scent smells divine and it lingered for the most part of the masking session (40 minutes). Very little essence remained in the packet. Effects + repurchase Admittedly I was skeptical at first and it only shows how much I underestim...

BIGBANG10 The Exhibition A to Z

Image
Where were you on December 13th 2016, 12am KST? In a far away country called Australia, a grown child was sitting in bed, spicy chips in hand freaking out over Bigbang's comeback. TOP's singing part in Last Dance was unexpected (did I start tearing up for a reason I didn't comprehend? Maybe.) but Fxxk It was the real star - loud, funky, clashing colours + catchy chorus + the boys in their delightful weirdness. Now there's no better way to enjoy Bigbang than by binging on their related content, so I'm sharing some snaps from their AtoZ Exhbition that wrapped up earlier this year. It was the last few days of the exhibition when I visited, so there was no queue and I headed straight in. Recordings weren't allowed, so we'll have to make do with photos. The first thing I saw was parts of the wall of the old YG Entertainment building. Before the building had been knocked down fans had signed their well wishes along the walls. Selec...
